At Rogers Water Utilities we are committed to providing our community with the highest quality water and sewer service possible. All of our costs, including normal operations, upgrades, water treatment, pollution control, and main breaks are paid for solely by rates and fees and not taxes.
Deposits
A deposit is required to initiate service. A new deposit is required for each different type of service (commercial, residential). These deposits are non-negotiable and cannot be waived. Credit references are not accepted in lieu of deposits. The deposit schedule is as follows:
- Residential/Commercial, 5/8th inch meter: $50.00
- Residential/Commercial, 1 inch or greater meter: $250.00
These deposits are refundable upon termination of service and will be applied to any final bill. If you have any remaining deposit, you will be issued a check for the balance. Deposits are only refundable to the person whose name is on the account. When you transfer your account (receive water service at another location or move to another location on our water service) you do not have to pay another deposit; your current deposit will be transferred to your new account. If you ever leave the Rogers Water Utility and receive your deposit back, you must pay a new deposit when you initiate service again with the utility.
New Service Fees
Certain fees have to be collected in order to provide high quality water to you. The Rogers Water and Sewer Commission and city ordinance regulate these fees. These are a $25.00 nonrefundable first time water fee, and a $30.00 non- refundable first time sewer fee. These are one- time fees which are paid only when you initiate your service with us. When you transfer your service, you will not have to pay these fees again.
Service Charges
You pay a minimal service charge when you transfer, initiate service, or have a service call to your address. This non-refundable fee is a standard set rate of $20.00 during normal working hours. An additional fee of $40.00 will be charged for same day or after business hours.
Trash
For your convenience, Rogers Water Utilities and Lakeshore Recycling Systems (LRS) have combined both services onto one bill. The fee for trash is included in the miscellaneous fees below. For questions regarding trash services or fees, Go to https://www.rogersar.gov/402/LRS or call LRS at 479-878-1384. Trash service applies to residents inside the city limits only.
